nSystems, LLC is a professional consulting company offering a variety of knowledge and expertise that meets the personalized needs of each and every client. We are committed to solving all of our clients information technology needs. Some of the successful services we have delivered are described below.
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
Novell NetWare Support: We are part of a team of engineers supporting this statewide Novell network. Our responsibilities include NetWare administration, GroupWise administration, ZEN works support, and various other administrative and troubleshooting duties. Our expertise has assisted with new server builds and new product testing in the test lab environment.
Microsoft Server Support: We are part of a team of engineers supporting this statewide Microsoft Application Services network. Our responsibilities include developing new solutions for various user groups, installing and supporting Microsoft Servers running SQL and other applications, and various other support and troubleshooting duties. Our expertise has assisted with new server builds and new product testing in the test lab environment.
Project Management and Technical Writing: We are part of a team of project managers utilized to support the many IT related projects. Our staff works side by side with in-house staff to make sure the project deadlines are met and the project is kept on track. We also have technical writers who assist with creating various technical and non-technical documents for engineers and end-users. This includes user manuals for new applications and support manuals for the engineers to use as a reference.
Hardware/Software Support: We are part of a team of technicians including supervisors supporting the hardware and software on over 20,000 user desktops running Windows 95, 98, and NT. Our duties include new installations, user training, troubleshooting and upgrades. Our services additionally extend to the small user-count Novell NetWare networks.
User Support Supervisor: These individuals manage the hardware/software technicians supporting the end users statewide.
Network Operations Center (NOC): We supply the key individuals, including supervisor and lead engineers to manage the statewide network. We employ HP Openview, Novell Managewise, CiscoWorks and other network management tools to manage the network infrastructure that includes servers, switches, hubs, routers and frame relay circuits.
LAN/WAN Support: We design the modifications to the statewide network. Our responsibilities include gathering and analyzing the user requirements and creating a detailed network diagram and implementation plan. These additions can be as simple as a ten-user site, or as complex as adding over 2000 users across ten different sites.
Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation
LAN/WAN Support: We are part of a team of engineers supporting the local and statewide infrastructure. This includes designing upgrades, configuring and installing Cisco Routers and Switches, and managing the connection to Internet with different ISPs. We also installed a wireless network with 358 access points. support access to the network via VPN technologies, and support streaming video over the network.
Network Operations Center (NOC): We supply individuals to manage the statewide network. We employ HP Openview, Ciscoworks, and other network management tools to manage the network infrastructure that includes servers, switches, hubs, routers and data circuits.
Microsoft SMS Support: We supply the individuals to support and manage the statewide Microsoft network using SMS. We package software to deploy to the end users, standardize Microsoft Desktop OS for deployment to desktops and laptops, and support and manage the SMS servers.
Network Design and Management: BWC hired nSystems to support their 5000 node, 25site network. Our services include supporting Windows NT servers, Cisco routers, ethernet/fast ethernet hubs/switches, and Solaris network management servers. This included server and workstation installations and burn-ins, network designs and upgrades, and DHCP, IBM Gateway, Sun Solaris, HP Openview and firewall support.
Dolphin Project Support on Windows 2000: nSystems is part of a team that supports the ecommerce Dolphin project. We are providing Windows 2000 support to both the developers and end-users.
TCP/IP Standardization: nSystems provided Solutions Assistance for a new DHCP, DDNS, video over IP, server management, network discovery techniques and VLAN implementation. We worked closely with vendors such as Quadritek, Lucent and Cabletron to provide the solutions for the client. nSystems worked with business groups to verify that the current and future performance needs are being met, and establishing base-lines for comparison to ensure that future needs can be anticipated and potential problems eliminated.
Telecommunications Assessment: Provided the project lead to do a detail review of the current voice network in the central and remote offices. After completing a detailed inventory, a new procedure was put in place that resulted in a $20,000 per month cost saving.
Desktop Standardization: nSystems was a part of a team of technicians performing pre-deployment software testing and troubleshooting of desktop applications. This testing was a critical part of the overall desktop standardization project to deploy approximately 35,000 desktops. The objective was to deliver repackaged groups of applications for automatic deployment to individual desktops assigned to the respective profile. We supported Windows 95, 98 and NT workstations.
Network Services: nSystems provided the project manager and team to manage the Y2K implementation program for Bank Ones Network Services Group. This includes testing and certification of Bank Ones voice and data network to insure Y2K compliance.
Distributed Computing: Our company provided project management for Bank Ones Distributed Computing Group. We provide change and process control on Bank Ones network management, operating system and servers for Y2K compliance and certification.
Ohio Legislative Information Systems
Internet Technology Insertion: nSystems is part of a team of developers providing Internet and database design for the Ohio House and Senate. This project includes integrating Internet servers into a common architecture while providing additional services such as bill tracking and online videos of past legislative sessions.
